recorded a song last night. it's more wussy acoustic stuff. not sure that i'm finished yet, it's short and i think the vocals need work. i'd very much appreciate opionions if anyone would check it out. it won't take much time as it clocks in at just over a minute and a half...
edit: host board won't let me post the link because there are parenthesis in the link. so i'm putting a space in the link and you can copy and paste and take out the space in the middle of it

I prefer the grind project with the guy from... I forget where now, but hey, sometimes wussy acoustic stuff's good
I dig the acoustic misfits stuff more, but it's alright, I think the acoustic "needling" or whatever you'd call it in the back groudn kinda complicates it a little too much, but you REALLY shouldn't take any advice from me

can't always express yourself screaming along with a drum machine...and sometimes you want to do a little more than cover another band

Good stuff, Andy. You've got a nice steady rythym going with the guitars and good harmonizing with the vocals. I'd say maybe add another part from where it ends...the song picks up a bit right before that and the ending leaves you wanting a little more...another chorus or something...or maybe just a musical / no vocal outro

I like the layers of instruments. Cool vibe.
The raw vocals are good too, but I still think you need to use some kind of mixer or something so you're micing the vocals separately from the instruments. I think what someone above was trying to say is that the vocals are getting burried in the mix.
Cool song though.

thanks for the input, guys. i had thought about adding more...still trying to figure out what i want to do. i think some of the vocals might need to be re-recorded as well. i may have the vocalist in a friends band do some of the vocals, i've been talking about colaborating with him for a while.

here's a new version. remixed a bit, re-did some vocals, and added a fingerpicking part at the end.
